Mischa is a passionate and knowledgeable teacher who is continually humbled and inspired by the potential of yoga to transform, expand and heal. She is dedicated to sharing the practice with other’s and her intention is to both challenge and restore, holding a space for individuals to open, reflect and absorb.
Her practice and teaching is inspired by over a decade of study under many masterful teachers. Her greatest influence is Sianna Sherman with whom she is in apprenticeship with and assists on workshops and training globally. Mischa regularly visits and has spent over a year in India studying, practising and visiting sacred sites, experiences which have touched her deeply and continually inspire her journey.
She teaches heartfelt sessions with creative sequencing, a deep focus on breath, alignment and a balance of both strong dynamic flow and longer holds. Her understanding is rooted in a number of styles and traditions, but she is particularly inspired by the philosophy and practices of the Tantric lineage. Classes are woven with philosophy and often include music, chanting and ritual. Mischa is also studying the Priestess tradition which supports her work with ritual, ceremony and the deepening of relationship with the Self, one another and nature. In a retreat environment the classes offered are incredibly diverse and always expand far beyond the students expectations as Mischa weaves in layers of influences from her personal practice and study to create a unique and beautiful experience. Classes and retreats are offered in the way of joyful and curious journeys of self inquiry and exploration.
Retreats with Mischa:
Fire Flow (Agni): The morning classes will open with guided meditation and stillness moving into a flowing and dynamic practice, exploring progressive sequencing to both challenge and strengthen and body mind.
Explore & Restore (Soma): The afternoon practice will be divided between slower and quieter asana, both fluid and restorative. She will also offer more focused workshop sessions concentrating on specific themes or intentions.
Sessions will include practices such as intention, ritual, journalling, pranayama (breathing practice) and chanting. Mischa is experienced teaching both retreats and mixed level groups and the classes are suitable for everyone and anyone bringing a willing and curious mind.
