Yoga with Lucy on retreat:The morning session usually begins with a guided meditation providing an introduction for beginners or further techniques for those who meditate regularly! After the group will move into dynamic stimulating pranayama (breath practices) followed by a juicy, dynamic, breath-led vinyasa flow. Each day will have a different theme, and Lucy will seamlessly weave in yogic philosophy and physiology into the asana. Lucy will also offer options in each class so whether you are a beginner or long time practitioner your needs and level will be met. Within the morning session Lucy will often break down some of the more challenging poses allowing students to deepen their understanding before incorporating them into the flow. Lucy teaches full spectrum classes which are heart-felt, accessible and full of wisdom.

Evening sessions will be a combination of gentler asana, combined with some delicious restorative poses. The aim of these sessions will be to bring balance to the nervous system and complement the morning classes. Lucy will also use this time to delve deeper into some of the pranayamas (breath exercises) as well as offering yoga nidras on certain days.

Lucy’s intention for the retreat is to offer guidance and a deep experience that allows for growth, transformation and healing in mind, body and heart.

Here's a recent interview with Lucy...

How long have you been teaching yoga and where do you teach?

7 years. I teach all over central and east London. At Triyoga, Yoga on the Lane, Blue Cow Yoga and The Life Centre.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

From everywhere! My own self practice, life, Nature, my teachers, my relationships. It all feeds and nourishes me and comes into my teaching.

What style of yoga do you teach?

My teaching style is an expression and reflection of my passion for all things yoga, the breadth of my many influences and the many years of in depth study. But essentially I teach mindful breath led vinyasa flow which addresses mind, body and spirit.

What do you like about teaching on yoga retreats?

I love teaching retreats. It’s my favourite environment to teach in because so much transformation can happen on retreat. I find we can go really deep into the practice and the intimacy of a retreat allows for an acceleration of growth and shifts within the practice. Watching people change and unfold on retreats is a great privilege and deeply humbling for me.

Where do you like to go on holiday?

India! And anywhere with beautiful Nature and a chance to adventure and see different cultures.
